Jennifer Chiang, who joined the firm in 2012, is a licensed attorney practicing in the areas of Real Estate, Oil and Gas, Fair Debt Collections Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Appellate law, and General Civil and Commercial Litigation. Her wide client base includes multinational investment groups, independent oil and gas explorers, as well as small businesses and families. From complex contract negotiations, to arguing motions in front of the court, Jennifer works hard to utilize all of her skills to produce the best possible outcome for her clients.
Jennifer graduated in 2005 from the University of St. Thomas with her Bachelors in Business Administration in Economics and Masters of Business Administration in Finance and International Business with Academic Distinction. Jennifer then attended the University of Houston Law Center where she was a member of the Interscholastic Moot Court and Mock Trial teams, founder of two Oil and Gas related student clubs, and won numerous scholarships for her academic work and leadership. While in law school Jennifer clerked for the Hon. Terry Jennings of the Texas First Court of Appeals, the Hon. John T. Wooldrige of the 269th Harris County District Court, and the Texas Railroad Commission.
After being licensed Jennifer started practicing as a litigation associate where she worked on a variety of natural resources and commercial cases, including a construction litigation case she took to appeal. She then moved to Shanghai, China where she worked as a real estate attorney bringing international investors to the United States. Upon returning to Sugar Land, she expanded her practice to include Oil and Gas, Real Estate tax and Probate work. She is licensed to practice in all state courts in Texas, as well as the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts in the Southern District of Texas. Jennifer is also a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of Texas.
Jennifer has been very active in the community both professionally and personally. She is a member of the Houston Bar Association where she volunteers to teach elementary school students about Government and the Constitution. A native of Sugar Land, Texas, she is a graduate of Sugar Land 101 and is very active in local politics.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, and making great home-cooked meals. She is a member of Chinese Baptist Church.
